Impact Oklahoma, Inc. is a community of women devoted to impacting central Oklahoma by funding charitable organizations. They needed an on-line presence as a way to promote membership and to educate Oklahomans about their ongoing mission.

S Design’s challenge was to concisely convey the mission while showing the significance of Impact Oklahoma’s past work in Central Oklahoma and the potential for more change in the future with the addition of members. S Design illustrated a pictorial overview on the homepage, which creates a visual metaphor of nurturing seeds into fields of beautiful flowers. A short description of each funded charity is paired with a photographic outcome depicting Impact Oklahoma’s good works, creating an emotional connection with the viewer.

Visit the website and find out how you can make an impact.

The Oklahoma River has rapidly emerged as one of the preeminent urban aquatic venues in the world. The new OKC National High Performance Center on the Oklahoma River is a premier training facility for world-class rowers.

The OKC Boathouse Foundation asked us to create a temporary OKC National High Performance Center Rowing site until an overhaul of their entire network of sites could be thoroughly conceived and commissioned. In addition to announcing capabilities in transitioning collegiate athletes to elite rowers, they needed to inform rowers about the location and the city. They wished the website to correspond with the contemporary look of the area Master Plan.

S Design created a simple and elegant brochure site that married the excitement of rowing competition with the contemporary aesthetic of the Master Plan. Beautiful water and active rowing photos are framed by the thin, slanted lines of the planned boathouses, reflected onto the backdrop of site.

Visit the site.

CCDC understands their reputation is only as good as each of their communities. A corporate website had to showcase their properties even more than the parent company.

S Design structured an easy-to-navigate site that features several internal microsites for each neighborhood. Copy and photography convey the unique nature of each community, but still unite them under the CCDC brand. By designing a consistent structure, new offerings are easily added to the site without feeling templated.

With most details online, the website intercepts traffic and creates leads, allowing builders and realtors to dedicate time to sales. Buyer confidence increases as they can review CCDC’s tradition of success in Oklahoma.

Since the launch of the website, the CCDC family has grown and the convenience of having development specifics as well as links to plots and builders has “saved them a bunch of time and money.”

Visit the site.

Now that they had a new name and identity, CABA turned to the web. Top of mind: a comprehensive site that would give both current and potential clients detailed information about their services and products.

Unfortunately, the details are pretty hard to understand and filled with industry speak.

We worked with the sales team to structure the site to move from broad overviews to progressively more specific information. Copy struck a careful balance between comprehensive yet conversational. The look and feel of the site was modern, clean and, like the company, fresh and unexpected.

The website has done some heavy lifting for CABA and allows them to send clients to the web for additional information and forms.

In 2008, the Oklahoma State Department of Energy organized a conference to educate and inform attendees of wind energy’s potential impacts on Oklahoma’s economy and environment. In addition to other conference materials, S Design created a website that simply and graphically illustrates the vast potential of wind energy. The three column grid allowed multiple types of information to be displayed within the same structure.

The site functioned an information warehouse for both attendees and the media. Event information was in flux until days before the conference, as speakers were confirmed and speaking times shuffled to improve the event. With this in mind, the site was programmed on an easy-to-use, updatable platform that kept all users informed of the most current information.

Schlegel Bicycles needed a website that matched their unique brand. The site would show not only the breadth of services offered, but would also give Schlegel a platform for interaction with the local community as both an educator and an advocate for cycling.

We worked closely with Schlegel to create a navigational architecture that organized their complex needs into simple, intuitive categories. The blog content is designed to flow organically to relevant areas of the site, and we created compelling gateways for each specific audience.

The design showcases professional product and store photos used in tandem with smart-alecky, aptly Schlegel headlines, creating an atmosphere almost as fun as visiting Steve and company in person!

Thomas Metals Group is the premier metal collections/resale company in Oklahoma. Their short history has earned them a reputation for honesty, quality customer service and the highest returns for the client. Thomas Metals Group has taken a product traditionally thought of as waste, scrap metal, and, through a transformation of the traditional business model, has repositioned these metals in their true form–as a global commodity. In direct opposition to their competition, they have provided the client with a transparent business model, adding accountability to the process. Their process ensures clients get optimal returns in the global commodity market on their scrap metal and builds a long-term relationship founded on trust.

The geometric shapes within this mark form a modern day monogram. Thomas Metals Group has developed a modular system for gathering, transporting and reporting for metal recycling. This modular logo represents the organization of different metals or processes. The monogram is a visual representation of the “Mod Boxes” which streamline the sorting of materials and increase the transportation process to market. Its solid, simple structure is masculine, industrial and reflects the bold ideas rooted within the company.

The brand continues to expand through application on company vehicles, leave behind Mod Boxes and collateral materials. The mark has given Thomas Metals Group a professional look that makes us even wish we could somehow recycle metal. Anyone want this lamp?

The Humphrey’s Company is a third generation company with experience in freestanding retail development, real estate and commercial properties. The Company’s civic mindset, desire for urban revitalization and new contributions to the Oklahoma City landscape created a need for a new trademark to refresh their brand. The overall goal was to create a mark that said “Humphrey’s Creates Communities”.

The mark had to tie into a fresh urban aesthetic and so we looked for a simple and direct approach. On the surface, the mark relies on the importance of the family name and recognition, which we combined with the style of a placard to symbolize the connection to urban development. A placard often brands a building with the name of the developer or company who created it.

The mark has been applied to company stationery, personalized business cards, a website, collateral material and office signage. Grant Humphrey even purchased a ferris wheel for one of their newest development projects and we hope we can sneak a ride once it’s up and running.
