Having just completed a new logo and positioning, S Design was now tasked with explaining The Oklahoma City Brownfields Redevelopment Program to potential developers.

We designed a brochure to answer questions about the process, starting with the most basic: “What is a brownfield?” and concluding with “What is the impact of Brownfields Projects in Oklahoma City?”

Simpler still, the book itself demonstrates the Brownfields process–transitioning from brown to green pages and building the logo piece by piece.

Thanks to the organization’s commitment to inform and educate the public, prospective investors no longer ask “Brownwhat?” And in our own small way, we’re proud to be a part of Oklahoma City’s green movement.

Making tough decisions about a loved one’s health care isn’t easy. Many of the available options make similar claims, which doesn’t help an already overwhelming selection process.

Choice needed to communicate their service and philosophy to potential patients and family members in a realistic way. They understand caring for a family member or friend suffering from illness is not the most joyous season of life, but it can be peaceful and comfortable.

S Design was asked to strike a balance in both content and design between personal and professional. The brochures, distributed at doctor’s offices, hospitals and directly from Choice, stand out from the competitors, offering sound judgement and compassionate help to weather a difficult time.

Ponderosa, a CCDC development, is a rare find in the Oklahoma City area. Situated on a lake and among preserved forest, Ponderosa is a community for families who work in Oklahoma City but still long to be surrounded by nature.

In real estate, a community’s heartbeat is often the only thing that remains consistent. Prices, lot lines and availability can change hourly. To solve this, S Design produced a main brochure to tell the neighborhood story and capture the imagination of potential residents. Current offerings are included as separate inserts that are easily changed.

Like the community, the piece serves as a sustainable testament to the developer’s vision.

Once they had a new name and positioning, CABA wanted share their fresh perspective with current and potential clients.

Brochures emphasize their philosophy and approach to benefits programs and demonstrate their genuine appreciation for their work and clients, detailed sales sheets explain each service they offer, and proposals serve both audiences. They all communicate Caba’s enthusiasm, clarify industry speak and get down to the nitty gritty of the business.

CABA realizes we work in order to experience life, our families and our friends to the fullest. They have always loved to help business owners care for their employees. (And as one of their clients, S Design has experienced that passion first hand!) Now, with a new brand, even their business cards show this.

a brand as mythic as its name

The Bike Store, Too had a name problem. There were three other retail stores within 15 mile radius with a similar moniker. Even loyal customers mistook a competitor for them.

We normally wouldn’t recommend naming a company after someone’s surname. But Steve Schlegel’s larger than life, spirited personality was known all over Oklahoma. (And who can forget a name like Schlegel?) A bold and unique mark set the stage for a new brand as memorable as the store’s frontman.

Since they began working with S Design in 2007, Schlegel Bicycles has opened a downtown Oklahoma City location and increased retail sales by 82%. Named one of the nation’s top 100 Bicycle Retailers for the past 3 years and one of the Metro 50 for 2008, Schlegel continues to grow in size and reputation. Schlegel offers a wide selection of mountain, road, triathlon and family bikes, specializes in custom fittings and is involved in numerous community outreach events. We apologize in advance to his corporate neighbors.
