a brand as mythic as its name
The Bike Store, Too had a name problem. There were three other retail stores within 15 mile radius with a similar moniker. Even loyal customers mistook a competitor for them.
We normally wouldn’t recommend naming a company after someone’s surname. But Steve Schlegel’s larger than life, spirited personality was known all over Oklahoma. (And who can forget a name like Schlegel?) A bold and unique mark set the stage for a new brand as memorable as the store’s frontman.
Since they began working with S Design in 2007, Schlegel Bicycles has opened a downtown Oklahoma City location and increased retail sales by 82%. Named one of the nation’s top 100 Bicycle Retailers for the past 3 years and one of the Metro 50 for 2008, Schlegel continues to grow in size and reputation. Schlegel offers a wide selection of mountain, road, triathlon and family bikes, specializes in custom fittings and is involved in numerous community outreach events. We apologize in advance to his corporate neighbors.
